Please note that a railway track runs past behind the villa. The noise from the track is kept at a minimum though as it is serviced by an hourly fast speed train.

Guests can easily take out a boat to reach the famous nearby tourist attractions of Isola Madre and Isola Bella or enjoy a lengthier excursion reaching the ancient Hermitage of S. Caterina del Sasso. The timeless lakeside resort of Belgirate also boasts many fine Romanesque architectural gems and is well-serviced with local authentic eateries. Offering close proximity to the many restaurants and amenities on offer in Lesa (4 minutes’ drive away) and very well-connected by train, ferry, boat, bus and road, Belgirate boasts a carefree location for getting around.

The popular Lake hotspots of Stresa (5km) and Arona (10km) are within easy reach too, whilst the Italian Swiss destinations of Locarno and Ascona are easily reachable for day trips.

Lake Maggiore boasts an abundance of leisure pursuits that range from wind surfing, wakeboarding, sailing, diving and hiking activities to tennis, horse riding, golf (Belgirate is 7km away at ‘Golf Des Iles Borromees’) and Italian Alp Skiing.

Serving as the perfect location too for soaking up the captivating culture and botanical beauty of Lake Maggiore, guests can enjoy some classic Lake Maggiore sightseeing moments at nearby Villa Taranto, Villa Pallavicini and of course with a local trip to the Romanesque church in Belgirate and the spectacular Borromeon Islands.

For the perfect way to soak up more breath taking scenery, the Stresa-Alpino-Mattarone Cableway offers an uplifting trip by cable car, whilst the 100 Valleys Tourist train from Locarno offers a breath taking Alpine tour past the Vigezzo and Ticino, towards Stresa and Domodossola.

Nature lovers of all ages will also enjoy a classic family day out at the Safari Park and The Bog Wildlife Park. Perfect for ski breaks too, the Monte Rosa is within easy reach via the Mont Blanc Tunnel, whilst the close proximity to Milan Malpensa (43km) and Milan Linate (78 km) promises year-round convenience and appeal.

The villa in Belgirate is easily reachable by motorway from Milan, Genova, Turin, local bus, ferry and also by train (on the Milan-Domodossola-Lausanne-Paris line).
